Nelson Gutsch is a lighting/video designer and programmer based in Kissimmee, FL. He is currently working as a Show Lighting Design Intern at Walt Disney Imagineering. Nelson has worked as the inaugural Lighting/Video Specialist at Maine State Music Theatre, the Head Electrican of the Kander Theater, and a Lighting, Sound, and Video Technician at Interlochen Center for the Arts. He has also had the honor of designing lighting, video, sound, and scenery at Maine State Music Theatre, Theatre Salina, and Oberlin College.
Nelson is an avid fan of theme parks, Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel. He thoroughly enjoys road trips and has visited 41/50 US states! He has also been an upright bassist for 12 years and previously studied Jazz Bass Performance at Oberlin Conservatory with Gerald Cannon. Nelson graduated from Oberlin College in May of 2025, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honors in Theatre.
